The First Baptist Sunday school opened this morning as usual at 9:30 with a large number present. The superintendent, Mr. J. O. Booker, was out of town and his place was filled by the assistant, Mr. C. H. Smith. Rev. James H. Gambrell read a paper and in the afternoon Miss Gray, a teacher in the Brighton school. Read a paper. Both were very good.

The young people's meeting, known as vesper services, re-opened this afternoon. The hour is from 5:30 to 6:30. All young people are urged to attend these meetings and help make them a success.

Teachers meeting was held last Friday night at the home of Miss Q. E. Lassiter, 61 Hobson street, a goodly number being present.

The White Rose Bible Class has opened again after being closed for two months. All who are interested in the study of the Bible are asked to come and enjoy Miss Lassiter's teaching.

Emanuel Mission Sunday school opened at 9 o'clock. Attendance was quite large. Lesson was reviewed by Mrs. Cheesman. 3 o'clock service was largely attended.

The Slabtown convention given by the Patron's League was quite a success.

Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Booker and son, Ober, spent Sunday in Berkley the guest of Mr. T. Harris.

Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins have returned to their home in Key Road.

The cottage prayer meeting held at the home of Mrs Tapscott was largely attended.
